As a professional storyteller, my desire is to inspire, educate and entertain. I am optimistic, goal-driven, and I have a passion for helping people see new possibilities for their lives, their careers and their success.
I have a bachelor’s in journalism from Sam Houston State University with a focus in advertising and photography. The combined study of words and imagery has proven beneficial to my career as a writer, editor and book coach. I’ve written hundreds of articles and interviewed local folks, celebrities and successful entrepreneurs. I have written articles on topics ranging from faith and religion, to entrepreneurship, as well as celebrity and business profiles. My work has been featured in national newsstand publication including SUCCESS Magazine, Empowering Women, Live Happy, and Success from Home among others.
As a ghostwriter, editor, and book coach, I help bestselling authors, experts, speakers and coaches share their messages effectively and professionally. A few of my clients include Darren Hardy, publisher of SUCCESS Magazine; Allyson Lewis, a popular keynote speaker and time-management expert; Joel Boggess, an online radio host and life coach; and Dave Burgess, a teacher and educational speaker. I spent more than 10 years as a magazine editor for SUCCESS Media before finding my home among the books. I’ve written millions of words and helped bring more than 100 books to print.
My book, Get Personal: The Importance of Sharing Your Faith Story, is all about encouraging people through authentic, real-life stories. I am also the author of the young readers’ adventure series: Zany Zia’s Hats to Where. The children’s books blend fact with fiction while teaching valuable life lessons in a fun and engaging way.
One more thing about me… I don’t like to sit still. I love to travel and explore new places. Being location-independent allowed our family to live in Ireland for a year and a half to volunteer with a non-denominational Christian church. We currently live in Texas where we drink lots of iced tea trying to stay cool in the summer.
